Companionship Museum


Archives, iconography, tools and masterpieces of the companions of the Tour de France since 1840, the Museum of Companionship is a unique museum.


The Companionship Museum is located in the monks' dormitory and in the hospitality room in the old Saint-Julien abbey in Tours. It is home to numerous objects and masterpieces by the "Compagnons du Devoir", a french organization of craftsmen and artisans.

Visit the Companionship Museum totally dedicated to the companies of Companionship like the worker's association of "Compagnons du Devoir". The museum houses a rich collection of masterpieces and the compagnonnics attributes, memories, varied and historical archives of carpenters, roofers, masons, carpenter, locksmiths, shoemakers and bootmakers companions.

On your journey, you will find all areas of current Companionship or missing from the building trades, leather, iron to the catering industry.

> From Sept 16 to 15 June: every day except Tuesday from 9am to 12.30pm and 14pm to 18pm.

> From June 16 to September 15: daily from 9am to 12.30pm and 14pm to 18pm.
> Closed: 1 January, 1 May, 14 July, 1 November, 11 November, 25 December.
