A few steps from the Cathedral, in the heart of the old palace of the Archbishops, listed historical monument, the Fine Arts Museum of Tours holds exceptional collections, true masterpieces from the neoclassic, romantic and impressionist period.
The Museum houses the largest collection of Italian primitives, after the Louvre !
Crossing sumptous reception rooms, the visitor can contemplate Mantegna the alterpiece of the church San Zeno of Verone, paintings signed Rubens, Rembrandt, Le Sueur, Nattier and Perronneau.
The Fine Arts Museum of Tours exposes also many works of post-impressionism and symbolist movement across works of Monet, Degas, Henri Martin, Le Sidaner. The collection of works of XXeme aggregates Asse, Calder, Davidson, Debré, Denis, Zao Wouki.
